Cal Cunningham Meets North Carolinians In Cary, Charlotte, Durham & Chapel Hill

Cal Took North Carolinians’ Questions At A Town Hall Meeting, Marked Veterans Day With Roundtable On Military Families

RALEIGH, NC – Cal Cunningham met with North Carolinians across the state over the weekend and on Monday to commemorate Veterans Day, including taking voters’ questions at a Sunday town hall meeting hosted by Indivisible NC District 9 and listening to fellow servicemembers and veterans at a roundtable on the issues facing military families.

Here’s a look at Cal’s weekend on the trail:

Cal began the weekend in Cary for this month’s Barbershop Rap Session for a discussion with law enforcement and community members about how to work together to build trust and strengthen communities.

Cal joined Mecklenburg Democrats, Indivisible NC District 9 , and a host of other progressive organizations for a two-hour town hall, taking questions and discussing his plan to move North Carolina forward.

Cal was honored to speak at the meeting of the International Association of Fire Fighters, where he thanked North Carolina’s firefighters and talked about how he’ll fight for their priorities in the Senate.

On Veterans Day, Cal hosted a roundtable of North Carolina veterans and military family members to discuss issues facing our military communities, from health care to critical funding for North Carolina’s military installations.

Cal and his team took time off from the campaign trail in honor of Veterans Day to complete a service project at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.

Last night, Cal returned to his alma mater, UNC Chapel Hill, for a meeting of the UNC Young Democrats where he talked about the importance of winning North Carolina’s Senate seat.
