Cal Cunningham Makes Stops In Asheville, Mebane & Winston-Salem

RALEIGH, NC – Cal Cunningham continued to travel the state this week, meeting with North Carolinians in Asheville, Mebane and Winston-Salem to talk about his campaign and the important issues facing North Carolina families.

Here’s a look at Cal’s campaign stops across the state this week:

Cal met with the Buncombe County Democrats for a discussion on health care, money in politics, and his plan to move North Carolina forward.

Cal stopped by Spectrum News to weigh in on the harmful decision to withdraw troops from northeast Syria, holding Senator Tillis accountable for “caving in to pressure from the White House.”

On Saturday, Cal joined the Democratic Women of Buncombe County for their annual Unity Breakfast. 

At the North Carolina Democratic Party’s Western Gala, Cal spoke to leaders from across the state about the importance of beating Senator Tillis in 2020 and the need to leave our state and country better for the next generation. 

On Monday, Cal sat down with members of North Carolina’s Native American Caucus in Orange County to discuss ways to support North Carolina’s indigenous communities.

Cal joined WXII’s Kenny Beck to talk about Syria, and his plan to beat Senator Tillis in 2020.

In Forsyth County, Cal held a roundtable with local community and political leaders to begin building a plan to protect the right to vote and expand access to the ballot box.
