Cal Cunningham Campaign Has Received Contributions From All 100 Counties in North Carolina

This Statewide Support Builds On A Growing List Of North Carolinians Endorsing Cal’s Campaign To Defeat Thom Tillis

RALEIGH, NC – Cal Cunningham’s U.S. Senate campaign announced today that Cal has received contributions from all 100 counties in North Carolina. The statewide support builds on a growing list of North Carolinians who have endorsed Cal’s campaign to defeat Thom Tillis, the latest evidence of growing momentum behind Cal Cunningham’s campaign.

This campaign milestone follows a strong third quarter fundraising haul for Cal in which “Cal Cunningham edged Tillis out” among individual donors without taking a dime from corporate PACs. Cal is proud to have received contributions from more than 4,000 North Carolinians last quarter, one fourth of which gave more than once.

“I’m proud this campaign has connected with folks in every county because I’m traveling the state listening to what people want. Hitting this benchmark is a measure of how hungry people are to send better leadership to Washington,” said Army veteran and Democratic candidate Cal Cunningham. “North Carolina deserves a Senator who will be an independent voice and fight for every community across our state, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”

Three consecutive polls show Cal beating Thom Tillis, and multiple race raters have moved the race to toss-up from leans Republican.

As Cal builds support, Senator Tillis is struggling to compete against attack ads from his self-funded primary opponent, Garland Tucker. In the third quarter, Tillis failed to outraise Cal in individual donations and had to depend on corporate PAC money to stay competitive.
